What is PPS in Hospice Care?

The Hospice Care Plan Response: Hospice Care Queen Nancy describes the PPS Scale for evaluating a patient with dementia to determine if they are eligible for hospice care. Patients must meet specific disease criteria as they decline that prove their need for hospice care.

Then once on hospice, we use these scales to track a patient’s decline and comfort.
